Surfside |
Surfside is a beautiful beach side community in South
Florida with amazing oceanfront views. Even though it is only nine blocks long,
Surfside has a wide array of activities to serve its residents.
The Communities
Surfside is a tranquil town with luxury condominiums and
homes and streets named after famous writers. There are parks in the town
available to everyone which include: Indian Creek Country Club, Haulover Beach
Park and North Shore Space Park. Recreational facilities include Hawthorne
Park, Surfside Community Center, 96th Street Park, Surfside Tennis Courts, 93rd
Street Beach Lifeguard Stand, Veterans Park and Aquatic Facility. In the small
town there are also holiday celebrations, special events, youth sports, adult
education classes, youth programs and special events designed to provide
recreation, education and entertainment for all visitors and town residents.
Surfside entails the modest pleasures of life with luxury
beachfront hotels, a mile of pristine beach, world-class shopping, and
culturally varied restaurants. Family friendly activities and yearly events
adds to this memorable destination. Many areas in Surfside have been renovated
to equal the luxury found in the condominiums and homes in the town.
The town is still within easy enough access to all the
energy, fun and entertainment that is available to South Florida. Fine dining
and shopping can be found close to Surfside; the Aventura Mall and Bal Harbour
Shops are popular areas for fine dining and high end shopping. Surfside is
within close proximity to Bay Harbor Island Indian Creek, Bal Harbour and Miami
Beach.
The Beaches
The main attraction in this town is its beach, Surfside
Beach, which includes North Shore Open Space Park. It is a beautiful stretch of
white sandy beach bordered by a path through the dunes. The Surfside Beach is
very well preserved and includes conveniences such as shower facilities,
restrooms, picnic tables and concession stands. It also includes a sand path
hard enough for jogging so that you can enjoy the aesthetic views of the ocean
while on a run or walk.
The Prices
City-data.com reports that the estimated median house or
condo value in 2012 was $64,510. Homes in Surfside range between $609,900 and
$879,000.
There are a few luxurious hotels in Surfside with high-rise,
beautiful structures. These include: The Grand Beach Hotel Surfside, Solara Surfside
Resort, The Surf Club/Four Seasons and Sun Harbour Boutique Hotel. Surfside
also has under construction the Marriott Residence Inn due to open in 2015/2016
and will be another beautiful, valuable structure to add to the town’s value.
