Star Island is the most exclusive neighbourhood in Miami
Beach and is located east of Palm Island and Hibiscus Island and south of the
Venetian Islands. This island offers the ultimate luxurious living in a privacy
and seclusion that is desired by many; however the island is still within close
proximity to many of the famous attractions that South Florida is known for. As
one of the most luxurious, sough-after communities in South Florida, Star
Island continues to attract the wealthy and powerful for a life of privacy that
many crave.
The Communities
The community has a single guard post at the entrance and is
the most private neighbourhood in South Florida. Visitors have to be called in
by a resident in order to enter the community; it doesn’t get much better than
that if you are looking for that type of private and luxurious living. Some of
the most renowned celebrities own or have previously owned a home on Star
Island: Shaquille O’Neal, Sean “P-Diddy” Combs, Rosie O’Donnell, Gloria Estefan
and Don Johnson.
The island is man-made and has some of the most astounding,
breath-taking properties in South Florida accompanied by waterfront views and
oversized lots. The island is only a few minutes away from the lively and
energetic South Florida and residents can enjoy the privacy of their homes
without disturbance. However if they so choose they have access to many
attractions in the nearby communities such as Key Biscayne and Bal Harbour.
The Beaches
Star Island does not have any public beaches and those who
own homes on the island have full, private access to the waterfront/beach on
their property. However for those who do want the public beach experience the
island is in close proximity to many of the most beautiful beaches in South
Florida.
The Prices
Statistics on city-data.com show that median rent paid by
renters on Star Island for 2011 was $374.00. Real estate on the island is some
of the most valuable in South Florida. Average rental prices in Star Island is
$125, 000 per month while average sale price is $16,803,830.
There were six homes sold on Star Island in 2011; the

extravagant homes can be found on Star Island with over 9 bedrooms and up to
$40 million in value.
Local Restaurants
Residents of Island would naturally have luxurious kitchens
to match the extravagant luxurious homes, possibly with their own personal
chefs. However the dining experience in neighbouring Miami Beach is not to be
missed.
No doubt there are persons who prefer a delivery service and
there are also restaurants that provide a food delivery service to Star Island
some of which include: Chinois Chinois, Baklava Factory, Mamma Caruso’s
Pizzeria, Sushi 2 Mee and NoVe Kitchen and Bar.

School, Nautilus Middle School and South Pointe Elementary School.
