Aventura

Aventura was derived from the Spanish name for “adventure” and is a planned, suburban city in the north-eastern Miami-Dade County, Florida. Aventura is a beautiful tropical landscape right in the middle of South Florida. There are countless options in and around the city for whatever you may want to experience.

The Communities

The city of Aventura has a unique mix of homes to fit every lifestyle, whether community, senior living or rentals. Aventura is home to the fifth largest shopping mall in United States, the Aventura Mall and therefore well-known for world class shopping. The city also has malls such as The Shoppes at the Waterways, The Promenade Shops, Aventura Shopping Center, Loehmann’s Fashion Island and Aventura Commons.

Parks in the city for a simple picnic, relaxation or walk are not limited and include: Waterways Park, Veterans Park, Founders Park Bayside and Waterways Dog Park. The city also has The Community Recreational Center and Liberal Arts Theatre.

As home to the Turnberry Isle Miami with its two championship golf course, Aventura is also a popular spot for golfing. The golf courses are beautiful courses designed by the great Raymond Floyd. There are many outdoor activities to part-take in such as Windridge Yacht Charters and Gulfstream Park Racetrack and Casino.

The Beaches

Aventura is a short drive away from many of the most popular, beautiful beaches in South Florida. For a relaxing and sunny beach day visit Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside Beach, Miami Beach, Halouver Beach, North Shore Beach, Bal Harbour Beach, Crandon Park Beach, South Beach or Historic Virginia Beach. Relax and enjoy a day on the beach close by and any beach you chose will be a good choice as Miami is known for its white sandy, beautiful beaches.

Homes in Aventura are uniquely elegant and luxurious with their waterfront options with views to die for. The lowest priced single-family home is about $86,900 while the highest priced is $6,999,999 and condos/ town houses range from $30,000 to 9,000,000.

According to city-data.com the estimated median house or condo value in 2012 was $253,710. There are many high-priced hotels in Aventura such as Turnberry Isle Miami, Courtyard by Marriott Miami and Residence Inn by Marriott.

Within Aventura there are dining options to suit every palette and range from a simple deli or fast food joint to the most beautifully elegant fine dining experience. Aventura is served by schools such as Aventura City of Excellence School, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High Biscayne Bay Campus and Florida International (Biscayne Bay Campus).
