Sunny Isles Schools |
Sunny Isles falls within the Miami-Dade County Public
Schools system and some of the schools attended by Sunny Isles students are
located in other neighboring communities.
Norman S. Edelcup/Sunny Isles Beach K-8
The Norman S. Edelcup School is located at 201 182nd Drive
Sunny Isles Beach and is comprised of a two story administration building and a
five story classroom building. The school serves students from kindergarten to
8th grade. This school has state of the art technology for both students and
teachers such as surround sound microphones and Smart Boards.
Philosophical and Spiritual University
The Philosophical and Spiritual University is a small
private school located in Sunny Isles Beach. This is an all-female school,
Jewish in orientation and serves 10 students in grades UG. The Philosophical
and Spiritual University is a part of the National Society of Hebrew Day
Schools.
Ojus Elementary School
The Ojus Elementary School is located at 18600 West Dixie
Highway. This school is a public school which serves students from
pre-kindergarten to fifth grade. The Ojus Elementary School serves students
which are north of 172nd Street in Sunny Isles.
Highland Oaks Elementary School
Students north of 183rd Street of Sunny Isles are zoned to
the Highland Oaks Elementary School. The school is located at 2375 Northeast
203rd Street, which is approximately 17 minutes away from 183rd Street in Sunny
Isles.
The Sunny Isles community is also served by schools such as
Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High Biscayne Bay Campus, Dr. Michael M. Krop
High School, Florida International University – Biscayne Bay Campus, University
of Miami and Barry University. Even though these schools are located in other
communities, they are within short travelling distances. The Alonzo and Tracy
Mourning Senior High is approximately 10 minutes away and Dr. Michael M. Krop
is 22 minutes away, while the universities are further away.
