Pinecrest is a suburban village in Miami with a very small population. The village is located south of Downtown Miami and is considered as one of the most beautiful residential areas in South Florida.
The Communities
The South Florida Business Journal recognized Pinecrest as
one of the ten best places in Florida for "quality of life” in 2011. Such
rankings has made Pinecrest one of Miami’s many desired places to live. The
village is very family oriented and tranquil but however is still within close
enough proximity to the usual high energy lifestyle of Miami.
The most prized possession of Pinecrest is the Pinecrest
Gardens which is a stunning community park that offers various programs such as
summer camps. Pinecrest Gardens hosts art shows, special events and concerts
all year round. The Farmer’s Market is a weekly event held at the park as well.
The Park also includes: a Splash 'N' Play water playground, a petting zoo, a
historical botanical garden and venues for indoor and outdoor informal and
formal affairs.
The Wayside Market is another popular attraction in the
small town. The market sells local tropical fruits, shakes, fresh juices and
snacks.
Who doesn’t love shopping? Pinecrest as with many other
Miami cities offer world class shopping options no matter how small the town
may be. There are many shopping areas in Pinecrest including: American Girl,
Best Buy, Sports Authority, The Falls, Bloomingdale’s and Simon Shopping
Destinations.
The Beaches
Beach options are countless in and around the city of
Pinecrest. The closest beach to Pinecrest would be the Matheson Hammock Park
Beach which a great place to revel in the beauty of South Florida. Persons can
also take a longer drive to Hobie Island Beach and explore all that South
Florida has to offer on the journey. Hobie Beach is well-known for windsurfing
in Miami so if you love to surf this is a great beach to visit. The location of
Hobie beach also offers some of the most beautiful sky-line views that South
Florida has to offer.
