Even though Key Biscayne is relatively small compared to the
other cities in Miami, there are quite a few options for outdoor activities.
Crandon Park International Tennis Center
The Crandon Park Tennis Center is located at 7300 Crandon
Boulevard in Key Biscayne and is home to 26 courts and also offers lessons. The
courts are also wheelchair accessible and there are different fees for each
level player depending on the court they choose.
Sailboards Miami Watersports
This watersport company is located at Mile Marker 6.5
Rickenbacker Causeway in Key Biscayne. The company offers stand up paddle
board, windsurf lessons and rentals, visits to the Vizcaya Twin Sisters Sandbar
and single and double kayaks.
Crandon Park
The Crandon Park is one of the most popular parks in Key
Biscayne and is located at 6747 Crandon Boulevard in Key Biscayne. The Crandon
Park is a word class facility which offers a marina, golf, tennis, snorkeling,
kayaking, canoeing, biking and nature walks. This is where former president
Richard Nixon spent his winters.
Tropicalboat Charters Inc.
The Tropicalboat Charters Inc. Company provides yacht
charter experiences across South Beach and Miami. They are located at 3301
Rickenbacker Causeway in Key Biscayne.
Flyer Catamaran Excursions
The Boat location for the Flyer Catamaran Excursions is
Downtown Miami however they also operate outside of Key Biscayne. The
catamarans are some of the largest in Miami and have a large sun deck and
shaded lounge. The company offers beach cruises, daily tours, sunset cruises,
tea building and snorkeling adventures.
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
The Lighthouse at Bill bags is the oldest structure in the
Miami-Dade County. The Bill Bags State Park is located at 1200 S. Crandon
Boulevard in Key Biscayne. The beach at Bill Baggs is popular to those persons
who prefer a quieter beach experience and offers tours of the lighthouse and
two great onsite restaurants.
Historic Virginia Beach Park
The Historic Virginia Beach Park is located at 4020 Virginia
Beach Drive of Virginia Key. It is just off the Rickenbacker Causeway and
offers coastal hammock trails, pavilions for picnics, a concession stand and a
boardwalk.
Miami Open Presented by Itaú
Each year the Miami Open Tennis Competition is held at the Crandon
Tennis Center in Key Biscayne. It is a two-week event that features some of the
world’s top women’s and men’s tennis players. The event brings thousands of
locals and visitors to Miami each year.
Crandon Golf
Located at 6700 Crandon Boulevard, this golf option features
a beautiful 18-hole course, putting green, carts, pro shop and driving range.
Reservations are required and highly recommended for this golf course.
Crandon Marina
The Crandon Marina is located across the street from the
Crandon Beach at 4000 Crandon Boulevard in Key Biscayne. The marina offers a
spectacular view of the sunset and city skyline. The marina offers great
fishing and snorkeling. There is a bait and tackle shop on–site which offers
the option to rent a commercial slip, charter a fishing boat or dock your own
sailboat.
